Location
Situated in the heart of Beskid Żywiecki Mountains, the second highest mountain range in Poland, Zawoja is the biggest village in Poland. It offers a lot for tourists, has a unique climate and has been well-known as a holiday destination since the interwar period.
Zawoja is the most frequently visited village in the region both in the summer and in the winter. It is rightly called ‘The Queen of the Beskids’. It lies on the outskirts of The Babia Góra National Park area. Owing to its exceptional purity of the air and waters, the Park has been listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
